A full-time child and adolescent psychiatrist, Andrew Butchart, DO, is board certified in psychiatry and has subspecialty training in child and adolescent psychiatry. He works primarily with children and adolescents on the inpatient unit at Rogers’ Oconomowoc location.

Dr. Butchart is a graduate of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, IL. He completed his residency in general psychiatry and fellowship in child psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he served as chief resident in child and adolescent psychiatry at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. He also holds a degree in psychology from Carroll University in Waukesha, WI.

Prior to joining the psychiatric team at Rogers Memorial Hospital, Dr. Butchart served as a staff psychiatrist in a number of settings. Most recently, he worked with Mercy Options Behavioral Health Clinic in Williams Bay, WI, where he provided outpatient care for children, adolescents and adults. He also served as a consultant for Willowglen Academy Day Treatment in Milwaukee and La Causa, Inc. Social Services in West Allis. In addition, Dr. Butchart has provided outpatient care for Associated Mental Health Consultants in Wauwatosa.

Dr. Butchart’s primary clinical interests include attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety disorders, mood disorders, autism and other pervasive developmental disorders. He is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association and the Wisconsin Medical Society.
