Residential Treatment

Residential Treatment:

Rogers is a comprehensive psychiatric hospital, nationally recognized for specialty residential treatment programs for eating disorders, addiction, obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety disorders for children, teens and adults.

Admissions

The length of stay is open-ended and has many variables (such as past history, current status and stage of your illness, the support systems in place for continuing care, risk factors, response to treatment, etc.) which is evaluated by the treatment team throughout your stay.

The items that you can and can’t bring vary depending on the level of care. Prior to your arrival, admission staff will go over specific items that are required, optional and prohibited on your program. As part of your admission, a member of the treatment team will thoroughly check all of your belongings shortly after arrival. Any inappropriate items will be returned to you or secured by Rogers staff until discharge. Please note that, to protect the privacy of patients, phones and electronic devices with camera, text messaging, Internet access or audio recording capabilities of any kind are prohibited.

Family members are an important part of treatment and recovery. In many instances, therapy or education sessions that include family members is provided. Please note that only with the patient’s written and verbal consent will we contact identified family members and schedule a telephone or face-to-face session to discuss treatment progress and any recommendations for continuing care following treatment.

Inpatient Hospitalization:

The social worker/counselor works with the individual and her/his family to assess what level of care is needed after the inpatient stay, and then to help make arrangements for that level of care. They will work with the patient and family to anticipate issues that may arise after the inpatient hospitalization, and then help the individual and family develop a plan that best meets that patient’s recovery needs. Families of patients will likely be requested to participate in one to two family sessions during the treatment stay. These sessions are helpful in providing updates of treatment progress, offering the family an opportunity to voice questions and concerns, and discussing follow-up treatment options.

Residential Treatment:

Just as in the inpatient program, families are expected to participate in the treatment process by attending family sessions and group education. Residential care also focuses on developing a thorough discharge plan for when the resident returns home.

Partial Hospitalization (Day Treatment):

Individual and/or family therapy may be recommended in the partial hospitalization program to maximize the gains made during a stay at our hospital. If you and/or your family members currently work with an outpatient therapist, that person will continue to be the primary provider of individual or family therapy. We will work closely with these outpatient providers to develop a continuing care plan for you or your family member. If you and/or your family do not currently have an outpatient therapist, our staff will be more than happy to offer referrals to appropriate providers.
