The group setting allows you to get feedback not only from the therapist but from your peers as well. Most groups have a general mental health theme that is not specific to a certain diagnosis. While patients have been admitted for a variety of behavioral health concerns, they share a common need to learn about topics such as healthy coping skills, recognizing patterns of behavior, and building a support system.
