In support of OCD Awareness Week (October 8-14), Bradley C. Riemann, PhD, Clinical Director of the OCD Center and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Services at Rogers Memorial Hospital, appeared on TODAY’s TMJ4 (Milwaukee’s NBC affiliate) “The Morning Blend.” Dr. Riemann indicated that obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) has become the fourth most commonly diagnosed psychiatric condition in the United States. He said that between 6 and 8 million people are affected, but only about 25 percent are getting the treatment they need. Dr. Riemann also discussed the signs of OCD and when it’s a problem, as well as the possibilities for effective treatment. If you or anyone you know suffers from OCD, attend one of the four free community talks on October 10 or call 800-767-4411 for a free screening. For more information, watch the segment here.
