On Monday, September 17, Peter M. Lake, MD, Medical Director of Rogers’ Child and Adolescent Services and the Child and Adolescent Center, will serve as a panelist during a breakfast forum at Marquette University in Milwaukee. The complimentary breakfast forum – entitled “Depression – The Intersection of Hope, Medicine and Research” – is the first in a new series the College of Health Sciences will host on issues of community health.
The topic is timely in light of a report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which indicated that 10 percent of adults in the United States are affected by depression. Other panelists include: Suzy Favor Hamilton, an Olympic runner who is successfully coping with depression; Paul J. Gasser, PhD, an assistant professor with the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Marquette University College of Health Sciences; and William E. Cullinan, PhD, a professor and dean of Marquette University College of Health Sciences. For more information, check here or register online now!
