Eating Disorders TreatmentEating disorders treatment team members Tracey Cornella-Carlson, MD, CEDS, Medical Director of Child and Adolescent Eating Disorder Programs and Eating Disorder Center Clinical Services Manager Robyn Welk-Richards, PhD, LSCW, as well as Outreach Representative Jean Corrao all converged upon the iaedp Symposium in Henderson, Nevada this past weekend to network and continue to discuss and learn more about what other practitioners are finding across the country as they treat patients with eating disorders. The iaedp symposium is known for relevant presentations by specialists in the treatment of eating disorders.

Rogers provides individualized care and has a wide array of treatment options including partial hospitalization in 3 locations, inpatient acute care, and a nationally respected residential treatment facility on 50 wooded acres in Southeast Wisconsin.

Addiction Professional, a leading clinical magazine for people with addictive disorders recently interviewed Rogers Tracey Cornella-Carlson, MD, CEDS, medical director of the child and adolescent eating disorder programs. The article focused on early identification of eating disorders in order to avoid the medical complications that can occur when the disease lingers year after year.

The article continues on to discuss the way eating disorders are presented, treatment approaches and the potential financial challenges with long-term treatment. “Treatment has to be aggressive and effective,” Cornella-Carlson says, “We like to catch it early.”

Rogers Memorial Hospital has expanded its OCD Intensive Outpatient Program morning program by doubling in size to include eight patients and increasing the afternoon sessions to twelve. Focused on those with an OCD diagnosis, the program runs four days per week for a minimum of three consecutive weeks. Using evidence-based treatment components, our highly trained staff works to alleviate symptoms in patients, while at the same allowing for continued involvement in family, school, and work activities.

The Oconomowoc campus also expanded OCD treatment for child and adolescents ages 8-18 with a new OCD Adult IOP as well as opening the hospital’s first Adult OCD Partial Hospitalization program.

Complementing the program expansions at the Oconomowoc campus, on July 8th the OCD Intensive Outpatient Program in Madison, WI is increasing the number of patients in the from 4 to 8.

Rogers Memorial Hospital in Oconomowoc is excited to announce the Grand Opening of the new patient and family café. To meet it's goal of a more relaxing atmosphere for patients and families, the Rogers team designed the cafe to look and feel of an upscale coffee shop and substantially improved the menu. Served by trained barista’s, the items available include a variety of “grab and go” sandwiches, salads, breakfast foods, and specialty coffee and other upscale drinks. The cafés grand opening includes a naming contest in which the winner will receive a free cup of coffee every day for an entire year. Rogers continues to share its commitment to the best experience possible with new experiential therapies, a new inpatient wing, and new child and adolescent centers.
