VIDEO: OCD Center's new home increases access to care

Bradley C. Riemann, clinical director of the OCD Center at Cedar Ridge, discusses how the new facility benefits patients.

Featured Doctor: Bradley C. Riemann, PhD, clinical director, OCD Center.

Riemann: Unfortunately OCD is not only a common problem, but it can be very disabling. And as a result, a percentage of OC sufferers really need very high levels of service, 24-hour kind of care. We take great pride in the fact that we provide services all the way from intensive outpatient to day treatment to residential; really to be able to meet the needs of all suffers.

Cedar Ridge is located on 22 acres of just beautiful grounds. Very wooded, very scenic, surrounded by a couple lakes. As you drive on the property, you just can't help but relax.

The building itself, of course, has been under construction for a year or so. It's an old home that's been completely remodeled. With large living rooms and day rooms, it's a much larger facility than we've been in, which is going to allow us to increase the number of people we serve. It's really going to provide a state-of-the-art treatment facility which brings the facility up to the level of care that we've always provided.

We think this is really important because it's going to allow us to have individuals and their families access our care so much faster than they have in the past. It's been this "band together" mentality to do everything we possibly can to provide the best service possible and gain access to the care as quickly as possible.
