The Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Center conducts ongoing research to evaluate the effectiveness of the program and to increase knowledge in the field of anxiety disorders. Study findings are presented at national and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed medical literature.

Participation in this research project is completely voluntary, and no identifying information is used. Residents who agree to participate are asked at admission and discharge to complete a series of questionnaires that take approximately one hour to fill out. It is possible that your questionnaire results may be used clinically. If this is the case, then you may be offered the chance to receive feedback about the questionnaire results. In addition, your therapist/behavioral specialist will receive the results so he or she can use this information in treatment planning.

Occasionally, the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Center collaborates with other researchers doing particular research studies. Again, these studies provide residents with opportunities to contribute to knowledge in the field.
