Child and Adolescent Inpatient Hospitalization for Eating Disorders

Locations:
Oconomowoc

The eating disorder inpatient treatment program for children and adolescents provides a nurturing environment in which patients ages 8 to 18 and their families can better understand eating disorders and learn the tools necessary to be successful at home and school.

At Rogers, we believe that the path to recovery for each child and family is unique. Every aspect of our treatment - from therapeutic goals and assignments to meal plans - is tailored to meet the needs of the patient.

Rogers' inpatient eating disorder treatment for children and teens programs are led by a full-time board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who specializes in eating disorders in teens and children and is an active member of the Academy for Eating Disorders. Throughout their anorexia or bulimia treatment, children and adolescents have a full and structured, yet manageable day of programming. Therapeutic meals and snacks throughout the day include breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, dinner, and an evening snack. All meals and snacks are supervised by trained staff members including registered dietitians and nurses who provide appropriate encouragement and support.

The goal of the inpatient eating disorder program for children and teens is to stabilize the patient and ready them for lasting recovery from their eating disorder.
