Former Rogers’ Patient Tells Story of Battle with Eating Disorder in Chicago Tribune

A recent story in the Chicago Tribune highlights the fact that eating disorders can occur among males as well as females, with anorexic and bulimic males making up as many as 1 in 4 people. A former patient discusses many aspects of his courageous battle, including the fact that he came to Rogers Memorial Hospital for treatment. Rogers’ Eating Disorder Center was the first provider in the nation to offer separate residential eating disorders treatment for men and boys, and Rogers offers specialized residential eating disorders treatment program for teens and adults with co-occurring anxiety disorders.
