A licensed full-time general adult psychiatrist, Kevin D. Kuntz, MD, has over 18 years of clinical experience. He is currently serving as a staff psychiatrist at Rogers Memorial Hospital-Madison, working primarily with adults in the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.

Before joining the team at Rogers, Dr. Kuntz was a faculty member of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health Department of Psychiatry. As a Clinical Associate Professor, he had over 14 years of experience in the academic setting and treated adult patients in a variety of clinical settings. He also taught medical students, supervised resident physicians and lectured staff. His administrative experiences include the management of mental health services for insurance providers, implementation of electronic medical records, and oversight of the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation’s retirement system. Prior to joining the University of Wisconsin, he was a partner in Physicians Plus Medical Group, a multi-specialty practice in Madison.

A graduate of the University of Iowa School of Medicine, Dr. Kuntz completed his psychiatric internship and residency at the University of Vermont School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the Neuroscience Education Institute. Dr. Kuntz has interest in all psychiatric disorders and is well versed in a variety of psychotherapies, blending a therapeutic background with his work in psychopharmacology to individualize treatment plans for his patients.

Dr. Kuntz is passionate about clinical medicine and sees every patient as unique. He focuses on each person’s unique characteristics to help him develop individual treatment approaches that will help lead to recovery.
