Amanda Rizzari, MD, is currently serving as a staff psychiatrist at Rogers Memorial Hospital-Oconomowoc, working primarily with adults in the inpatient program. She is a member of the Wisconsin Medical Society and is interested in all types of adult psychiatry.
A graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Dr. Rizzari completed her internship and residency in psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She is board certified and worked in a variety of medical settings for hospitals and treatment centers in Texas before joining the staff at Rogers.
Dr. Rizzari’s experiences in treating patients who often were uninsured or homeless helped shape her understanding of how psychosocial stressors can play a major role in delivering and receiving care. She also places great value in listening to a patient’s story.
