A licensed clinical psychologist, Angela Sanders, PsyD, works primarily with children and adolescents in the inpatient program at Rogers’ West Allis location. In addition to providing professional psychology services, she develops and implements trauma informed care, which is therapy focused on helping patients who have experienced painful and traumatic events. She also trains and supervises clinical staff and students.
Dr. Sanders is a graduate of the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology and holds a doctorate in clinical psychology, with a specialization in children, adolescents and family. With more than 20 years’ experience, she has held leadership positions and developed specialized therapeutic programs within multiple treatment settings. Prior to joining the Rogers staff, Dr. Sanders served as clinical director of behavioral health services for Lakeview Care Partners in Waterford.
A member of the American Psychological Association and Wisconsin Psychological Association, Dr. Sanders offers evidence-based practices and a person-centered, strength-based approach to patient care. Her clinical interests include program development and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which is the integration of emotion identification and management with standard therapy.
