The Herrington Recovery Center at Rogers Memorial Hospital provides comprehensive, confidential treatment for substance-use disorders in a modern yet comfortable environment. This treatment is designed for individuals who are medically stable, but have been unable to achieve sustained recovery in a shorter-term or lower-intensity treatment program.
The length of stay at the Herrington Recovery Center is individualized; the targeted length is 30-60 days. Primary treatment goals are to establish abstinence and address obstacles affecting long-term recovery. After discharge, all patients are expected to continue participation with professional services for ongoing addiction care as well as 12-Step or other support group meetings to provide a foundation for recovery.
Additionally, a comprehensive five-day evaluation is available at the Herrington Recovery Center for professionals referred by licensure boards, regulatory agencies and other privileging organizations.
Michael M. Miller, MD, FASAM, FAPA, is the medical director of the Herrington Recovery Center at Rogers Memorial Hospital-Oconomowoc.
