OCD Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

At Rogers, adolescents and adults with moderate cases of OCD, OC-spectrum disorders and other anxiety disorders can receive a high amount of structure and support in our intensive outpatient program (IOP).

The program meets four days per week from 9 a.m. to Noon or 3 to 6 p.m. for typically 4 - 5 consecutive weeks and uses evidence-based treatment components by a highly trained staff.

The primary goal of this intensive outpatient program (IOP) is to alleviate symptoms, while allowing continued involvement to fulfill family, school or work activities. Research suggests that the vast majority of people with an anxiety disorder respond well to our treatment approach.

Rogers Madison campus is now offering a new intensive outpatient program (IOP) for individuals with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and other anxiety disorders. Led by Rachel C. Leonard, PhD, the new IOP is similar to what’s being offered in Oconomowoc and is held four days per week (Monday-Thursday, 2:30-5:30 pm). The program utilizes exposure and response prevention, a specific form of cognitive behavioral therapy that is the treatment of choice for individuals with OCD. All patients meet regularly with a behavioral specialist as well as a psychiatrist – Jerry L. Halverson, MD, FAPA.
