Jody A. Pahlavan, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist who practices full-time at Rogers Memorial Hospital’s West Allis campus as the executive director of clinical programming. She also serves as the director of clinical training for Rogers’ clinical psychology pre-doctoral internship program.

Dr. Pahlavan received her Doctor of Psychology degree from the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology, completing her residency in child psychology at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. She received her master’s degree in psychology from Marquette University. Dr. Pahlavan’s clinical areas of interest include children and teens with acute depression, anxiety and suicidality, developmental trauma disorders and complicated comorbid psychiatric disorders in children. In her work with patients and their families, she uses predominantly a cognitive behavioral framework, making use of the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) principles and skills to help adolescents better manage intense emotions and mood changes, while developing a healthier self-esteem and improving their relationships with family and peers.

Dr. Pahlavan has lectured to professional and lay audiences on a range of topics related to mental health. She is a member of the American Play Therapy Association, the American Psychological Association, and is listed with the National Register of Health Care Providers. Dr. Pahlavan is intensively trained in DBT by Behavioral Tech and the Linehan Institute.
