Depression recovery outpatient care

Depression Recovery PHP/IOP

Whether you need additional support in maintaining the progress you’ve made in inpatient or residential care, or you need more help than traditoinal outpatient counseling can provide in managing your depression, other mood disorders, anxiety or related general mental health conditions, we can help.

In our specialized partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) care, our experienced team of professionals, led by board-certified adult psychiatrists and psychologists, will help you or your child reduce symptoms and gain the tools needed for success on your journey.

PHP/IOP offers two levels of specialized treatment for depression and other mood disorders

Treatment available for children, adolescents, and adults:

  • Partial hospitalization care
    (6 to 7 hours a day/5 days a week)

  • Intensive outpatient care
    (3 hours a day, 5 days a week)

Patients, families, and treatment teams work together to determine length of programs based on individual progress and situations.

Types of therapy

We take the same evidence-based approach to treatment we use in our more intensive care as we work with you or your child in daily therapy for several weeks, depending on your treatment. You remain connected to family and, if undergoing IOP, you can continue with work or school. Components of therapy may vary by treatment plan, but often include:

While the treatment plans may vary, the goal remains the same for all: providing you with an individual plan that gives you the tools to gain insight into your behaviors and feelings, letting you set realistic goals and develop new skills for success.

Rogers can also work to stabilize acute schizophrenia symptoms while treating other mental health disorders such as depression to help those struggling regain stability, independence, and overall well-being.

Depression Recovery

Focus Depression Recovery PHP/IOP for adults and teens

A less intensive level of our Focus Depression Recovery residential care, our specialized PHP/IOP care for adults and adolescents emphasizes care for depression, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders. Heavily based in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), you or your child learn how to use behavioral activation (BA) to manage depression or other mood disorders. Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)-informed skills help you or your child improve mindfulness, distress tolerance, regulation of emotions and interpersonal effectiveness.

If appropriate, you'll work with your therapist on exposures to address avoidance behaviors related to anxiety. You'll move forward through a combination of group therapy for CBT and DBT-informed skills, individual assignments and one-on-one meetings with your therapist.

These programs provide a range of proven therapies in a structured setting as well as nutritional health and wellness education. A board-certified psychiatrist provides medication management and medical monitoring. Our goal is to help you reduce symptoms and improve daily functioning while you remain connected with family and other social support systems.

Mental Health Recovery Early Adolescent partial hospitalization care

Patients who are struggling with a variety of mental health disorders learn skills to improve daily functioning in a safe, structured setting through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), experiential therapy, nutritional health and wellness education.

This type of care is available at our Brown Deer, Wisconsin location.

DBT Mental Health Recovery

DBT Mental Health Recovery PHP/IOP care for adults, pre-adolescents, and adolescents

These intensive programs use dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) based off the work of Marsha Linehan, PhD, ABPP. The goal is to provide practical, healthy coping skills for children and teens who have severe emotional dysregulation, experience suicidal ideation, and may be engaging in risky behaviors. DBT is an evidence-based treatment that emphasizes group skills training, as well as family and individual skills coaching to help patients learn and use new strategies. Core DBT components include: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Available at our Brown Deer, Kenosha, and West Allis, Wisconsin locations (Adult DBT Mental Health Recovery for adults is only offered in Kenosha).

Serious Persistent Mental Illness

Serious Persistent Mental Illness

For adults experiencing serious persistent mental illness (SPMI) that substantially limits their ability to thrive, we're here to help. In our IOP care for SPMI, patients work with a compassionate, multidisciplinary team of mental health experts to overcome challenges and gain skills to add stability to their daily lives.

This program is for individuals needing support for schizophrenia or other long-standing psychosis, severe bipolar disorder, recurrent major depressive disorder, and other mental illnesses that cause significant impairment and limit major life activities.
