Residential Treatment

Residential Treatment:

Rogers is a comprehensive psychiatric hospital, nationally recognized for specialty residential treatment programs for eating disorders, addiction, obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety disorders for children, teens and adults.

Child and Adolescent Services

The specialized programs at Rogers for children and teens are led by clinicians who are experienced with helping children and their families work with the challenges of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and other behavioral health care concerns, including eating disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Specialized programs for children and teens

We work with your family to find the level of care that is best for your child. Whether it’s the weekday structure of a day treatment program, or the 24-hour support available in our residential programs, we ask the important questions to find the best fit for your situation. For children or teens who have behavioral health care needs, we also provide inpatient stabilization.

Treatment teams who have experience and training with children

Each program is staffed by a multi-disciplinary treatment team who specialize in providing children with coping techniques that help them address their anxiety, depression or other mental health concerns. Led by board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists, our treatment teams are experienced and compassionate. They understand what your child is going through.

You are not alone. Our treatment teams work with your family to assess your child and develop an individualized treatment plan to address their specific needs. The treatment teams include a number of different professionals, including board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists, social workers, behavioral specialists, education specialists, experiential therapists, including art and recreation therapists, and dietitians.

School liaisons work with your child’s school to keep them as up-to-date with their schoolwork as possible and help your child’s teachers understand what type of support might be needed.

Effective treatment for anxiety, depression and other mental health disorders

At Rogers, we use a multi-modal treatment approach to deliver sensitive, age-specific intensive psychiatric care for children and teens. Treatment components are evidence-based, and cover a comprehensive range of psychotherapy, psycho education and experiential therapies along with strong parent/family education and involvement.

The psychiatrists who direct each child’s treatment are members of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and uphold its stated position that no medication is ever to be used without therapy. Parents are consulted in determining if medication is appropriate in conjunction with therapy.
